Modular & Reserve Deputy Basic Academy Training
The modular version of Basic Academy is designed to allow working adults an opportunity to train as a peace officer during evenings and alternating weekends. It is also the course series for those interested in becoming reserve deputy officers.
You will receive training to satisfy Basic Peace Officer instruction in as little as 13 months divided into three levels (modules). Modular III is the least expensive course and is the minimum requirement to become a Reserve Deputy.
Note: PC832 Arrest, Search & Seizure and PC832 Firearms are included in the Modular training series.
Reserve Deputy Continuing Professional Training
Level I and Level II reserve officers are required to complete 24 hours of continuing professional training every two years. Clark Training Center offers the Reserve Deputy 24-Hour Perishable Skills Training course, listed below, which satisfies the continuing professional training requirement and provides the same level of ongoing training for Interpersonal Communications-Arrest and Control, Driving Force Options Simulator, and Tactical Firearms that sworn officers have access to.
