& Riverside County Fire Department Courses

  1. Signups for CDF/Riverside County Fire sponsored Fire & Haz Mat classes are done by telephone. Students may call the fire training office directly unless station policies require the station manager to register students. Students who reserve a spot in a class and fail to show up without canceling will lose their ability to preregister by phone without a deposit.

    1. Students affiliated with CDF/Riverside County Fire may sign up for EMS courses by having their Station Manager telephone the EMS Training office as indicated in the individual course listing.
    2. Personnel not affiliated with CDF/Riverside County Fire MAY NOT sign up by telephone for EMS classes, but can obtain an application by calling the EMS Training office. Completed applications must be submitted with the required fees at least ten (10) days prior to the first day of the class. Students who fail to show up or cancel their reservations for coursed that are prepaid may be required to forfeit their registration fees.

  2. For all CDF/Riverside County Fire sponsored Fire & Haz Mat courses, fees are due and payable on the first day of class. CHECKS OR MONEY ORDERS ONLY- NO CASH WILL BE ACCEPTED. Make checks payable to: Riverside County Fire Department.

  3. Riverside County Fire volunteers may register for the following classes without paying unit fees as they are required components of the volunteer training program:
    • First Responder
    • EMT Refresher
    • CPR
    • Haz Mat First Responder Operations
    • Auto Extrication
    • ICS-200
    • Driver/Operator 1A & 1B
  4. If State Fire Marshal certificate is offered in association with the class, all students wishing to receive a certificate are required to pay the CSFM certificate fee. Students (including Riverside County Fire volunteers) opting not to pay the CSFM certificate fee will receive a Riverside County Fire or CDF course completion certification.

  5. Riverside County Fire Department (including volunteers), Riverside County Sheriff's Department and Riverside County Haz Mat personnel are eligible for sponsored tuition or reduced tuition. See individual course listings for details.
